Still plugging away at 0.4.8, but figured I would post the new UI with the additions of the piston and the rotator…. I still haven’t decided how best to add the “Tuning” section in the editor yet. I am leaning towards a menu similar to the one in the Sandbox mode for moving and scaling. Let a comment if you have some thoughts on what you want to see in the Tuning editor.

It’s been a bit since I’ve posted an update. I took a week off to spend some time with the family over the Thanksgiving holiday. For any non-American’s reading this, Thanksgiving is a major holiday here where family from all over gather together for a massive turkey (and sometimes ham) feast. It has always been one of my favorite times of year!
Anyhow, what’s up with Crashtastic 0.4.8? As I mentioned previously, I have been working on the piston. It was pretty quick to get it working, but as I started playing with it in the game, I noticed a few things. First, I need to add some way in the editor to configure keys to control it. I still need to implement this, but the plan is to have both the rocket control and the piston control setup inside the editor. The other thing I noticed is that a piston isn’t actually that interesting without a rotating joint. So…. I’ve been working on that as well.
So when will it be released? It’s hard to say. As a solo-part-time developer, it’s a bit hard to predict things, but it should be soon.
