Crashtastic seeking Greenlight!
As many of you know, I have been planning to submit Crashtastic to Steam’s new Greenlight process for a few weeks. Well yesterday was the big day! For those of you who don’t know Steam Greenlight is a process by with the Steam community can vote on games to be released on Steam. I need your help!!!!
If Crashtastic does eventually get released on Steam every pre-order customer will get a free steam key for the game!

Crashtastic Version 0.4.7 Now Available!
Crashtastic Version 0.4.7: Sandbox Mode Now Available!!
This is one of the most requested features for Crashtastic, and the first iteration of the Sandbox editor is now live! In the near future, the same editor used for the sandbox mode will allow you to create and share challenge levels. *NOTE* This is still a work in progress
- Move the camera with W,A,S, and D
- Rotate the camera by holding down the right mouse button and moving the mouse.
- Control-C will copy the current selected object.
- Click Move/Scale/Rotate will change the gizmo allowing you to perform each action.
Changes to the Replay System:
- Hide the Replay UI by pressing “Z”
- Start and Stop the replay by pressing the Spacebar
- Pressing “C” will toggle between follow and free camera. While in “Free Camera Mode”, control it with “W,A,S,D”, and rotate the camera by holding the right mouse button and moving the mouse.
Other Fixes:
- Fixed level camera showing hidden UI during simulation.
- Fixed issue with Editor UI disappearing when saving.
- Fixed issue with some players having trouble getting and saving records.
Server is back online !!
Well the server is back online!!!! Looks like it was actually a network issue, but I need to review the situation anmama me sure this does not happen again. Sorry for the inconvenience .

Quick peek at the sandbox UI
I just wanted to post up a quick screenshot of the sandbox/level editor UI. There is still quite a bit of work to do still, but it is mostly functional. The second shot is me playing around with the little tabletop I built. 🙂
Update on the Update…..
Just finished up a few additions to the game, so I figured I would post a quick update.
While working on capturing some video for the trailer, I noticed a few things that kept me from capturing what I wanted, so I added the following which will be in the next patch:
During Replay you can now:
- Remove the Replay UI by Hitting “Z”
- Start and Stop the replay by hitting the space bar.
- Increase and decrease replay speed by using “,” and “.”
- Pressing “C” will toggle between follow camera, and free mode camera. While in “Free Camera” mode, you can move with “W,A,S, and D”, and rotate the camera by holding down the right mouse button and moving the mouse. This is actually the way the sandbox/level editor camera will work as well.
These additions will help you to record some more cinematic replays 🙂
This update is shaping up to be bigger than I expected, and I plan on making it available when I launch the new trailer (which will be fairly soon)!
